Junior Player Development

 2026 Country Championships - June 6-8, Geelong 

Football Geelong would like to thank all players and families who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the 2026 Geelong Representative Teams. We have received an outstanding response across all age groups and are pleased to confirm the Phase 1 trial details.

Trial Venue

All Phase 1 trials will be held at:

  • Howard Glover Reserve, 5 Lime Burners Road, East Geelong

Session times for each age group are outlined below.

While attendance at all trial sessions is strongly encouraged, players will not be disadvantaged if they are unable to attend a session. We understand that families may have existing commitments that cannot be changed. Please contact us if you are unable to attend on the schedule date/time.

All clubs have been advised of the trial dates and, where applicable, trials should be prioritised over club training.

 

Important Trial Information

Please read the following carefully to ensure a smooth trial process:

  • Players must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to register attendance.
  • All players must be registered with a community club to be eligible to trial.
  • Players must have submitted an Expression of Interest form prior to attending trials.
  • No club apparel is to be worn during trials (including club socks). Players should wear a plain t-shirt or generic football top.
  • No jewellery or watches are permitted.
  • Parents and guardians are asked not to enter the field of play while trials are in progress.
  • Players must bring:
    • A drink bottle
    • Shin guards
    • Football boots
