A hard-fought game against a team that made the Division 1 finals last year. Was a wonderful tester to determine the standard of the competition. The game was played at an extremely high tempo with the Rovers going into half-time at 1-0 down. The squad will only improve as they get used to the quality of the opposition teams in this competition.
Congratulations to the club on their first ever Division 1 appearance.

Senior Women's
Senior Women's VS Armstrong United, Home, 6-0 Loss
The team was unfortunate to go down 6-0 this week. We put up a very good fight throughout the game but the skills of the seasoned Armstrong United team saw them score 3 goals in quick succession in the first half. I have seen so much improvement in our Women's side since our last game 2 weeks ago and everyone of them should be so proud of the effort they showed on the field on Saturday. Early in the second half we suffered a huge loss to the team when our Captain went down with a suspected ACL and is awaiting scans this week. Player of the match went to Adela Thomas who came so close to scoring quite a few times and who's breakaways were spectacular to watch and she never gave up and played hard to the final whistle.

A tough day out for the group against a team that was contending for final last season. Jacob Stannard was a welcome return for the Rovers up forward and Jarrah Ashton never stopped running and trying to create opportunities for his team mates.

U13A VS Geelong City, Away, 4-2 Loss
Our U13A team took on reigning Premiers Geelong City in a fantastic high quality match, away at Howard Glover Reserve.
Two defensive errors had Colac on the back foot at half time, despite the strong play from central defender Joseph Coventry.
More run and great movement through midfield saw Solomon Coventry and Tjay Moynihan working hard in the second half. Rovers pegged one goal back through Mark Orlovskyi, while they equalised soon after when Finley Geary scored a wonder goal from long range, perfectly lobbing the keeper to find the back of the net.
The team played very well but could not overcome a strong opposition and we welcome the return fixture in Colac in a few months time.

The players played well, overcoming a deficit at half-time to bring it back to victory. Notable mentions to Eli for strong communication, Jagger for his hard tackling and great passing, along with Cruz for his creativity and solid finishing.

We were down 1-3 at halftime in a very tough game, but came back strong and determined in the second half. Players were fantastic at holding their positions and listening to their coaches, and managed to reap the rewards for doing so.
