Senior Men's VS Barwon SC, Home, 5-1 Loss

A hard-fought game where the score line did not reflect the performance of the boys. The squad are starting to become accustomed to the intensity of this level. A great defensive performance.

Senior Women's

Senior Women's VS Geelong SC, Away, 1-0 Loss

We showed huge improvements again this week with only one goal conceded. This is a huge credit to the whole team especially Nikea who was able to stay calm and never looked afraid to grab the ball when it came her way. Sandi was named player of the match for her non stop pressure on the Geelong defence and she was able to get some good shots on goal as well. I was extremely proud of the way the Colac team stayed strong and played our own style of football with special mention to Caitlin who really stepped up in the backline this week. This was a very rough game and all players deserve a massive pat on the back for the way they were able to hold their own against the most physical team we have come across so far.

Senior Men's Division 2

Senior Men's Gold VS Corio Bay, Home, 2-1 Loss

An entertaining that unfortunately resulted in a loss. It was a tight game against quality opposition.

Senior Men's Green VS Leopold SC, Home, 2-0 Loss

Played really well but just couldn't manage to find the back of the net. The squad never gave up until the final whistle and managed to create some great passing chains.

U14 Girls

U14 Girls vs Warrnambool Wolves, Away, 7-3 Win

Colac Otway Rovers U14 Girls came out victorious this weekend beating the competition leaders, and previously undefeated Warrnambool Wolves away from home on Sunday morning.

Our girls set up a strong defensive line early in the first half and allowed nothing to get through, while first Adela Thomas opened the scoring, before Elle Russell took the game apart, scoring 5 goals in the first half. A 6-0 lead at half time, and the Rovers were flying.

Wolves hit back hard in the second half with three quick goals, and some nervous moments for the Rovers defence, but Nikita Addlem in goal, supported by Daisy Dorris and Ivy Hunter in defence ensured the score would grow no further as they shutdown all remaining attacks. Mackenzie Rocka was on hand late to seal a great team win, 7-3.

With a week off over the coming Long Weekend, our girls are back in action on Sunday June 15th, at Beeac Recreation Reserve from 10:30am where they face Port Fairy.

U13 A

U13A VS Geelong Rangers, Home, 5-2 Win

A cautious start saw the U13A team bring some pressure on themselves to rebound from last weeks defeat, with numbers light this week our boys set out to get back on the winners list.

Eventually finding their passing groove, strong team play from Mark Orlovskyi and Kade Genua saw the pressure ease and the scoreboard climb.

After settling into the match in the second half Rovers proved too strong for Geelong Rangers, combining well for a 5-2 win.

U13 B

U13B VS Barwon SC Blue, Home, 5-2 Lost

A tough game against the competition leaders saw Colac slow to start and the opposition made them pay. Staring at a 0-4 scoreline at half time, something needed to change.

With some reassurance from the coach, our boys found their groove and won the second half 2-1 with great play from Saxon Finn finishing off the teams hard work.

Beaten on the day but keen for another opportunity after the Long weekend break.

U11 Wallabies

U11 Wallabies VS Nth Geelong Warriors, Home, 2-3 Loss

A game of two halves that saw the Wallabies just unable to find an equaliser after a great game against Nth Geelong.

More goals from Mineth G as he continued his great form this season, and River also found the back of the net in a big second half effort to get back in the game.

Jack Widdicombe played his best game for the club with a great effort showcasing his running ability and flair out wide on the wing.

U11 Joeys Black

U11 Joeys Black VS Geelong SC Gold, Home, 8-1 Loss

A hard-fought game, extremely proud of the group. They kept their head held high and didn't quit until the end. Defended ferociously and very well.

U11 Joeys Green

U11 Joeys Green VS Golden Plains Blue, Home, 6-3 Loss

A tougher task this week against Golden Plains Blue, but our Joeys Green team continue to play great football and combine beautifully to play an impressive team first game style.

Clancy Bannan was a rock in defence all day and tried his hardest to keep the opposition from getting too far ahead, well done. He was well supported by Hugo Smith and Toby Williams.
