U13 A
U13A Green VS Barwon Heads, Away, 4-2 Win
A potential banana skin game against an improved Barwon Heads team, as the U13A team played away from home again.
The match began very evenly with Colac pushing forward and pressing the opposition strongly, Zaiden Finn in the centre of defence and Leon Whitehouse in goal played strong games to hold the Barwon Heads attackers scoreless in the first half. After a number of promising raids, Colac took a corner and the diminutive Solomon Coventry bobbed up to head home and take the lead. Late in the half it was the corner taker himself, Thor Medley who scored an improbable "Olympico" as the ball crept along the byline before finding the back of the net.
Medley was deadly once again, with a strong strike from the edge of the area flashing past the keeper. Rovers 3-0 to the good at the break.
The second half saw a more assured Barwon Heads team challenge Colac strongly. The opposition found the net early in the half with a solid counter attack, but the ever present Dash Bannan restored the lead with a well taken shot after a good passing exchange with Jasper Milner and Lewis Speirs. A late opposition goal saw the scoreline finish 4-2 to the Rovers.

U13 C
U13C Black VS FC Leopold, Away, 3-4 Loss
A big challenge for our emerging U13 team as they travelled to Estuary Reserve to meet with a team that had beaten them during the grading matches early in the season. The boys played an excellent match and Lachie Sheppard made a strong start with a great goal for the Rovers to take the lead. Leopold manged to peg the goal back, but Kayden Baker was on hand to restore the lead right on Half time with a wonderful goal. Confidence was high with a 2-1 half time lead.
An exciting end to end contest in the second half saw Leopold take the lead 3-2, but Cruz Matthews would not be denied, and the Rovers were staring at points from the game in the final minutes. An unlucky penalty decision against Colac was enough for Leopold to take the win, but our team can be proud of a wonderful effort.
